Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?

Whether it’s a natural disaster, a tragedy, or a string of unfortunate events, it can be difficult to understand why these horrible things happen to seemingly good people.

Imagine that good things happened to good people, and bad things happened to bad people. Everyone would be good all the time.

No one would do anything wrong because who would steal if they knew they would get a disease every time they did something bad?

You can only be genuinely good if you do it without knowing the consequences. Not because you expect something good to happen to you in return. That’s not doing good; that’s selfish.

If you are truly good, you do it because you think it is right or because you love and care for people.

So, you can be the best person in the world and still get a life-threatening disease or get hit by a bus.

But then you know you were being truly good. And not being good just for the rewards.

Being Genuinely Good is about doing good deeds WITHOUT any expectations in return.

Don’t confuse being good with being nice.
